Marketing for doctors and independent practices, run by the people who do the work.
Savo Group is a family-owned agency that has been doing search marketing since 1999: before AI Overview, before the Map Pack, before Google had a mobile algorithm. 27+ years later we run a dedicated healthcare program for doctors, clinics, and practice owners nationwide, and every campaign is hand-run by a senior strategist instead of handed to a junior overseas.
See where your practice ranks today.
Send your practice name and city. We'll pull your Map Pack positions, organic rankings, Google Business Profile health, healthcare-directory citations across Healthgrades and Zocdoc, review velocity, and site speed for your local searches. The report comes back inside 24 hours. No call required.
Fifteen minutes with the person doing the work.
When you call us, you talk to the person who will run your account, not a junior account manager. Tell us about your practice, your specialty, and your market. We'll tell you what we'd actually do, what it would cost, and whether we think the engagement is a fit.
A real agency, run by real people, working with real medical practices.
Savo Group is family-owned and independent. Not VC-backed, not private-equity owned, not part of a holding company. Michael has been doing SEO since 1999, in-house at companies like Thomson Reuters and Credit Sesame before running the agency, and decisions here get made because they are right for the client, not because a quarterly board meeting demands a margin improvement.
We work with doctors and practice owners across the United States: dermatologists, orthodontists, plastic surgeons, physical therapists, urgent care clinics, optometrists, audiologists, and primary care practices. The program is national in scope but local in execution, because a patient searching a condition plus their city does not care where your agency sits. They care who shows up first.
Every engagement is run by a senior strategist. No junior account managers, no overseas handoffs, no quarterly account-team reshuffles. When you call 1.877.362.3077, one of the two people below picks up.
The people on your account.
A small in-house team plus a network of copywriters, designers, and ad specialists, so production scales without the work being handed to junior staff. These are the two people who run every healthcare engagement.
Michael Rupe
Founder & SEO Director
Doing SEO since 1999. Before the agency, Michael spent over a decade in-house: Credit Sesame (500% organic growth in 9 months), FindLaw by Thomson Reuters (+8M organic visits year over year), and Salem Web Network. He sets strategy and campaign direction on every account, including this one.
Taylor Rupe
Co-Founder, Senior SEO Strategist & Lead Developer
Senior SEO strategist on every account alongside Michael, and the developer behind every site we ship: design, code, hosting, performance, and the technical SEO underneath it. The Asymmetric Health rebuild below is his build. Family-owned means exactly what it sounds like; Taylor is Michael's son.
Independent practices are getting squeezed from both sides. Search is where they win.
Look at who owns the Google results for almost any condition plus a city: hospital systems with in-house marketing departments on one side, VC-funded telehealth companies buying national ad campaigns on the other, and directories like Healthgrades and Zocdoc holding the organic slots in between. An independent practice cannot outspend any of them.
It does not have to. The hospital system's Google Business Profile is not in your neighborhood, and the Map Pack weights proximity heavily. The telehealth company has no local presence at all, so it can never appear in your city's local pack. Condition-plus-city pages, a fully built Google Business Profile, and a strong review base are the three assets the big players structurally cannot replicate for your market. That is the entire thesis of this program, and it is why we built a dedicated healthcare vertical instead of treating doctors like one more local business on a generalist client list.
Healthcare also punishes generic SEO harder than most industries. The citation tier is different (Healthgrades, Zocdoc, Vitals, and WebMD, not the home-services directories generalist agencies submit to). The schema is different (MedicalClinic and Physician, not LocalBusiness). Reviews carry more weight than in any other local category, and both review requests and review responses have compliance rules that a plumbing-focused agency has never had to think about. We have.
Asymmetric Health: the thesis, running in production.
Asymmetric Health is a physician-led Direct Primary Care clinic specializing in TRT, GLP-1-assisted medical weight loss, and BHRT in Lacey, WA, serving 500+ patients. They came to us in 2026 facing exactly the squeeze described above: local patients drifting to VC-funded national telehealth companies with bigger ad budgets.
We rebuilt their slow WordPress site as a hand-coded static build and launched a healthcare SEO program on top of it. Two months after launch, the clinic was #1 organic on Google for its priority searches. Not year two of a retainer. Month two of the engagement.

2 moWebsite rebuild plus a healthcare SEO program, from launch to #1 organic in 60 days
Organic rankings
#1The clinic's priority TRT, GLP-1, and peptide searches across its home market
AI Overview citation
1stGoogle's AI cites the clinic first, by name, with its pricing
Google map pack
Top 3Dominating the local pack at 5.0 stars, ahead of clinics based in Olympia
Google's AI Overview now recommends the clinic by name, with pricing pulled straight from the site we built.
Things that should be obvious, but somehow are not industry standard.
One bundled fee, not per-service line items
Local SEO, organic SEO, AI search optimization, review generation, and reporting in one monthly fee. Most agencies quote a headline price that quietly excludes citation work, schema, Google Business Profile management, and reviews, then bill each one separately. We quote the whole program once, against your market.
Reporting that ties to booked appointments
Monthly reports cover ranked keywords, Map Pack visibility, Google Business Profile calls and booking clicks, review velocity, and AI Overview citations. Every number answers the same question: how many qualified patient calls and bookings did the search work produce this month?
Hand-coded websites, not WordPress with 47 plugins
Every site we build ships as static HTML on Cloudflare's edge network. No theme conflicts, no plugin update treadmill, no caching plugin to babysit. Fast on day one and still fast five years in. The Asymmetric Health rebuild below is exactly this build.
AI search is part of SEO, not a separate invoice
Google AI Overview, ChatGPT, and Perplexity now shape how patients pick a practice. The schema, content structure, and authority signals that get a clinic cited by AI engines are the same work that ranks it in organic and the Map Pack, so it lives inside the one program instead of being sold back to you as an add-on.
HIPAA in front of mind, always
No patient identifiers in tracking pixels, no form contents passed to ad platforms, no third-party scripts on intake pages, and review responses written so no reply ever confirms a treatment relationship. Healthcare marketing that ignores this creates risk we refuse to create.
Senior strategists, no overseas handoff
Every campaign is hand-run by the people whose names are on this page. When you call, you talk to the person doing the work on your account, and when something needs adjusting, the person adjusting it is the person who built it.
